Records to add to Richarz Cemetery?

Richarz Cemetery Records submitted by

Begin at Hwy 90 and FM 1796 in DHanis. Travel North on FM1796 for approximately 1.2 miles to Rudinger Lane or CR 426. Turn left on Rudinger Lane. After crossing Seco Creek, (1.0 miles), take the left fork. Cemetery is on the left 0.2 miles just below crest of hill, about 200 feet west of creek.  This is private property; however, the Texas State law allows people to visit (Usually honored on the first Sunday of April and October).  If you have been kept out of a private cemetery, please contact your local Sherriff's Office and explain the situation.  Here is a link to the Texas cemetery law: http://www.burger.com/cemlaw.htm

The Richarz Cemetery was founded on land belonging to the Rudinger Family.  The Rudingers, as well as many of those here, were immigrants and First Settlers of the Castro Colonies or the first generation born here before there was ever even a Republic of Texas.

Many graves have photos.  Click on the name to see a photo of the gravestone.  Photos will open in a separate window.
