Ambrose, William J. - died 31 Dec in Oakland, California at age 57- resident of Emeryville, California with many relatives in Reno; Native of Oakland; Memberships: Line Drivers Union Local 468 of Oakland; Survivors: Mrs. Emilia Ambrose (widow) and Miss Dolores Ambrose (daughter), both of Emeryville; Jack Ambrose (son) of Santa Rosa, California; Bill Ambrose (son) of Hayward, California; +several grandchildren. Services at Truman's Chapel in Oakland.

Beel, Debie Ann (Mrs.) - native of Jamestown, Arkansas; resident of Greenville, California for last 22 years; died 31 Dec at age 81 at Feather River District Hospital in Greenville; Survivors: William (son) of Greenville; George (son), Frank (son), both of Arkansas; John (son), Monroe (son), both of Redding, California; Mrs. Laura Keyes (daughter) of Redding, California; Lola Beel (daughter); +several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cosgriff, Melbirne (Mel) - President of several advertising firms; died 28 Dec in Twin Falls, Idaho at age 49. born 31 Oct 1913 in Twin Falls, Idaho; Memberships: Twin Falls Elks, Vice President of Idaho Golf Association; Served in Army Air Corps during WWII. Attended schools in Twin Falls and graduated from Univ. of Washington; Member of Theta Delta Chi Fraternity. Survivors: Mrs. Grace Cosgriff (widow), Mrs. C.P. Lowery, Raymond A. - resident of 810 Montello St., Reno; died 30 Dec at age 37; Interment in Veterans section of Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery.

McDonald, Mary (Mrs.) - resident of Mexico, Missouri (201 S. Alabama St.); stricken in Reno while visiting her son (305 Rafetto Dr.); died 31 Dec in Reno at age 77; born 12 Sep 1885 in Missouri; Survivors: John McDonald (son) of Reno; Orville McDonald (son) of Boone, Iowa; David McDonald (son) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Eugene McDonald (son) of Mexico, Missouri; +10 grandchildren. Nesmith, Arthur Mayo - resident of Smith, Nevada - died 31 Dec at age 79 - b. 12 Nov 1883 in Jack's Valley, Nevada, near Genoa; Survivors: Mrs. Jennie Nesmith (widow); John (son), both of Smith; Mrs. May Dixon (daughter) of Carson City; two granddaughters, one great grandson +nieces and nephews. O'Toole, Helen (Hooper) - resident of Ione, Nevada; died at home at age 36; born 26 May 1926 in Nye County. Survivors: Joe O'Toole (husband); Mr. & Mrs. Duman Hooper (parents) of Reese River; LaVerne Hooper (sister) of Reese River. Burial in the family plot at Ione Cemetery.

Richards, Minna M. (Mrs.) - resident of 128 Winter St. and resident of Reno for eight years - died 29 Dec; employed several years by Golden Hotel and more recently by the El Cortez Hotel. Cremation at Mountain View Crematory.

Robertson, Emile - died 25 Dec at age 94; Interment at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery.

Thalinger, Charles - resident of 139 East Commercial Row, Reno; died 27 Dec in Reno at age 77; Interment in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery

Conte, Arthur - A founder of the Benjamin Franklin Lodge No. 45 and barber - died in Reno 02 July at age 52; resident of Reno for 13 years and lived at 590 Genoa Ave.; born 13 Apr 1911 in Foggia, Italy to Joseph Conte. Survivors: Lena A. Conte (widow); Mark W. and Arthur C. (grandchildren); Raymond Conte (father), all of Reno. Angelo, Albert, Adolph, and Anthony (brothers); Mrs. Anna Farrante and Mrs. Angela Delgese (sisters), all of Newark, New Jersey. Interment at Mountain View Cemetery (Masonic Section)

Devincenzi, Domingo - resident at 1026 Watt St.; died 01 Jan at age 74; born 25 Apr 1888 in Italy; Survivors: Rachel Devincenzi (widow); Louis Devincenzi (son); Ernest Cardinelli (stepson); Donald Cardinelli (stepsonson); John Devincenzi (brother); Mrs. Katherine Pessi (sister) +eight grandchildren, all of Reno. Entombment in the Mountain View Mausoleum.

Fuller, Eugene E. - resident at 1221 Ridgeway Court; died 02 Jan at St. Mary's Hospital at age 55; Service Manager at Waldren Motors; b. 25 Oct 1907 in Stockton, California; resident of Reno for 25 years; Memberships: Mount Rose Lodge No. 40, F&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies of Nevada, Kerak Temple of the Shrine, Stage Craft, and Camel Herders; Survivors: Mrs. Cassie L. Fuller (widow); Lawrence H. Kosaftis, Olga - died in Reno 02 July at age 73; Resident of Pasadena, California (394 N. Sierra Madre Ave.); born 20 Dec 1890 in Loannina, Greece; resided in Reno two weeks. Survivors: John Kosaftis (son), of La Canada, California; Mrs. Arty Georgiades (daughter) of Pasadena, California; Mrs. Sevesty Lamberti (daughter) of Reno; Michael Georgiades, Renee and Elaine Kosaftis (grandchildren)

Moffat, William Henry - Cattle Baron - resident of Reno - died in San Francisco 01 Jan at age 87; born 17 Feb 1875 in San Francisco; came to Nevada at age 15; Memberships: Cowboy Hall of Fame, Reno Lodge No. 13, F&AM, Reno Chapter No. 7, Royal Arch Masons, 50 year member of DeWitt Clinton Commandery, Knights Templar, Joan of Arc Enclave, Red Cross of Constantine, and Kerak Temple of the Shrine; Survivors: Mae Moffat (widow) of Reno; William Moffat, Jr. (son) of California; Mrs. Lynne Adrienne Alexander (daughter), Mrs. George Pope (daughter), both of San Francisco; +many grandchildren; resident for many years at 3875 S. Parsons, Lela D. - wife of Dr. Lawrence Parsons; resident at 232 Sunnyside Dr. - died 02 Jan in Reno at age 64 after an extended illness; born 19 Jan 1898

Pokesty, William A. - died in Reno 03 July; Survivors: Fern V. Pokesty (wife); Junella Humfeld (daughter), both of Reno; Helen Bainter (sister) of Long Beach, California; Hans, Damon, and Jerrald Humfeld (grandchildren) of Reno. Interment in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery.

Simon, Peter Albert "Pop" - Pioneer prospector died in Jean, Nevada 02 July at age 80; born in Syria; came to U.S. in 1898; owned several mines and claims in Nevada during the early 1900's; started Pop's Oasis, near the California / Nevada border.

Williams, Scott - retired Nevada miner died 26 June in Reno at age 79; resident of Nevada for 40 years, and Hawthorne, Nevada for one year and at the time of his death. Interment at Mountain View Cemetery.
