GEORGE WHEELER

Following an illness of but four days, George Wheeler died early Sunday morning [April 4, 1925] at his home on Pacific Avenue. Mr. Wheeler was one of the pioneer residents of the valley, having come to this county in 1871 from Olympia where he was born February 4, 1858. He served as a home guard during the early Indian troubles in this section.

His marriage to Anna Montgomery occurred in 1881 and of that union two children survive Mr. Wheeler with their mother, Clark Wheeler, and Mrs. Jessie Minick, both of this city. Four grandchildren are living, one brother, A. L. Wheeler, two sisters, Mrs. C. Morrison and Mrs. James Curtis, all of Ellensburg, and numerous other relatives residing in other sections of the country.

O. O. Feinner will conduct funeral services for Mr. Wheeler at the Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. The body is at the Steltz undertaking parlors. [Interment at IOOF Cemetery]
