LILLIE DELL FERGUSON MORRISON

Marking the passing of another of Kittitas Valley’s pioneers, was the death Sunday of Mrs. Lillie Morrison at the age of 75 [March 6, 1960]. She was born in Ellensburg, Jan. 1885, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ferguson, who had come to the valley in 1871.

Lillie Ferguson was married to Thomas Morrison July 3, 1903, at Ellensburg and they made their home one half mile north of Kittitas. Here they resided until Mr. Morrison died in 1953. Mrs. Morrison moved to the home of her daughter, Mrs. (Gladys) Clarence Sisk on Route 2 and where she led an active life until ten days ago when she became critically ill. She died at home.

Survivors include besides her daughter, Mrs. Sisk, a son Chester Morrison of Rt. 3, two grandsons, Chester Jr. and Tom Morrison of Rt. 3, two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Phelps and Mrs. Lottie Harris of Ellensburg, three brothers, James Ferguson of Ken, Ben Ferguson of Rt. 2, Ellensburg and George Ferguson of Rt. 3, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 10 at 2 p.m. Rev. Miller C. Lovett will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bill Hughes, Jerry Hansberry, App Legg, Jack Holmes, Fred Palmiero, and Forrest Cahill. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.
