O. F. Hackney - d. Feb. 6, 1905—This is all on this headstone, top part missing, but he is not Oren Frank Hackney as Mr. O. F. Hackney is buried in Lecompte Cemetery. The foot stone reads L. F. H. and looking at the succession of Amanda Carter Hackney there is a Lonnie Hackney as one of 8 children and with the conversation of Mr. A. Z. Hackney and his wife, s/o Oren Frank Hackney & Anna Lou Dupree, who came to the cemetery the day we cleaned, he named the following children of Oren Frank Hackney as being buried there: Oren F. Hackney, Jr., oldest, Louie, Lonnie, & Otto. The succession also stated that Louie (Louis) died before the succession was completed. With this information I am almost sure that this headstone with the footstone reading L. F. H. is Lonnie. I did not find a headstone for Louie (Louis), Oren F. Hackney, Jr. and Otto but Mr. A. Z. Hackney said they were buried there. Mr. Hackney can be reached at 448-8972 and his address is 136 Tiger Lake Rd., Alex., La. 71302.
Also Mrs. Marie Hathorn said her grandfather or great grandfather is buried
there in an unmarked grave.
