O’Brien, a founding partner of Alexander Grant & Co., an international company of certified public accountants, died yesterday in Mercy Hospital, Miami, of complications following heart surgery. He was 65 years old and lived at 2 Tudor City Place. Mr. O’ Brien served as grand marshall of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York in 1959, when the guests of honor included Mrs. Catherine Byrne, Lord Mayor of Dublin. He was a 1931 graduate pf the School of Commerce of New York University and a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, which he served as president in 1950-52, the Williams Club and the New York Athletic Club. He retired a few months ago from Grant. He leaves his wife, Rosemary Harley; a sister, Sister Mary Agnes of the Sisters of Charity, and a brother, George B. O’ Brien. Submitted by P. Montero
